Un mes en España

This week Spain and I celebrated our 1 month anniversary. It's been a fantastic relationship thus far. No squabbles to note. In the last month, I have:

-Attended my Rotary Youth Exchange Orientation where I met the other 110 exchange students living in Spain for the year. 10 Canadians (eh?), 2 girls from France, 2 from Taiwan, 2 from Australia, 1 girl from Italy, 1 from Germany and 1 guy from Iceland. Oh, and 90 Americans of course.

During our three days spent in the mountains of Spain, we:

Became best friends with our roommates.

Ate...interesting food

Had fun reenacting Rotary's 4 d's. No drugs, driving, dating or drinking.

Had sing-offs

                                                                              And bonded.

This month I also, had my first Rotary meeting with the club that is hosting me here in Spain.

Got to know my host family and their friends

Appreciated art with my brother

Ate. A lot.

And fell completely in love with Spain, my city of Madrid, and also the walled city of Toledo.

Can't wait for many more months here in Spain.

Así hasta mañana
