Spring!!

1st of March means it's officially spring!...even it might be a couple degrees below..

 Olivia, a buddy from back in the day. We're going to the movies!

 We've got the whole place for ourselves!

For like $10, you can get a card where you get 50% off on all movie tickets, 

and all students get to buy for cheaper at most places,

so I go to the movies when I can!  

 

 MAX is the swedish IN n OUT.

Very foggy in the mornings

 So I send my letters to friends in carlsbad through this yellow mailbox

 ....and receive my answers from one of these snowy boxes!

You can definitely tell who hasn't gotten their mail today.

Sweden to Brazil

My grandmother and I flew to Brazil for new years! We traveled with a group of Swedes.

 Our room.

 We visited this meditation retreat.

 We took some walks through the little town.

 Crazy rooster!

It turned out that it was not so safe to walk the streets here at night. This is one of the bullet holes in the guy's car that worked at our hotel from the night before.

 Pretty poor around the corner.

 We met this nice couple. He was carrying a bag of mysterious fruit, which my grandmother volunteered to try. It disagreed with her.

 There were many stray dogs. One night someone threw out poisoned meat fort the dogs--Seven died.

 I think the white paint is to keep the ants away.

 Our new friend with his horse, that reminds me of Pippi's horse "Lilla gubben"--"little old man".

 Amazing food!

 Acai shakes became the standard.

 Pregnant dog.

 The blue-eyed dog. I named him Douglas.

 When it rains, it rains alot!

 This car reminded me of Jack's car back in carlsbad.

 Gettin a mani and a pedi just for the keck of it!

 Time to leave! Rainy season ahead!
