VALBORG: The initiation of summer.
Every April 30th, everyone celebrates the end of spring.
Uppsala's Valborg is the best in Sweden, since there are so many students here.
We had champagne breakfast at Niki's--a tradition for Valborg.
All of Uppsala will soon be filled will drunks..

After Valborg we visit Stockholm to attend a health conference..

I have never appreciated summer so much, until I experienced such a long and cold winter.
You start missing the smells and feelings from summer, in a way that I've never needed to before (since SoCal basically has no seasons).
The floating house floated away when the ice broke.
Sleeping here tonight after using the sauna with some friends..
